Zimbabwe vs West Indies 1st ODI Match Presentation

Zimbabwe held there nerve to pull up a upset again beating West Indies in the 1st ODI by 2 runs.

Chris Gayle. “Well done to Zimbabwe. The way they batted, ran between the wickets, they did really well. Terrible display of batting out there in the end from us. If we continue like this, Zimbabwe could beat us 5-0 as well … It’s the mental fitness that really counts in these moments.” Harsh words from the man who predicted 4-1 to the Windies, in Australia. “We have been in this situation, we can still rebound.”

Prosper Utseya: “It was a good team effort. We are a still young side and need to learn. Masakadza (jnr) managed to hold his cool under pressure, I am happy with his effort. West Indies is still a good side and we respect them.”

Man of the match - Vusi Sibanda for that fighting, gut-wrenching, but in the end, extremely crucial 95. “I thought the West Indies bowled really well early on. I took my time. I thought our score was good, but Chris Gayle gave them a good start.”
