Zimbabwe vs West Indies 1st ODI Match Presentation

Zimbabwe held there nerve to pull up a upset again beating West Indies in the 1st ODI by 2 runs.

Chris Gayle. “Well done to Zimbabwe. The way they batted, ran between the wickets, they did really well. Terrible display of batting out there in the end from us. If we continue like this, Zimbabwe could beat us 5-0 as well … It’s the mental fitness that really counts in these moments.” Harsh words from the man who predicted 4-1 to the Windies, in Australia. “We have been in this situation, we can still rebound.”

Prosper Utseya: “It was a good team effort. We are a still young side and need to learn. Masakadza (jnr) managed to hold his cool under pressure, I am happy with his effort. West Indies is still a good side and we respect them.”

Man of the match - Vusi Sibanda for that fighting, gut-wrenching, but in the end, extremely crucial 95. “I thought the West Indies bowled really well early on. I took my time. I thought our score was good, but Chris Gayle gave them a good start.”

Bangladesh vs England 3rd ODI 2010 Highlights

Watch the Highlights between Bangladesh vs England of 3rd ODI after the end of day’s play.

Pitch and conditions
This is the first day game of the series so the dew factor, which hindered Bangladesh a little in Mirpur, won’t be a factor in this match. It has a history of turning in Chittagong which would suit the home side and their clutch of spinners. However, being a day game means no let-up from the heat although being on the coast will help.

England’s only other ODI in Chittagong was played at the MA Aziz Stadium in 2003 when the visitors won by seven wickets to secure a 3-0 series win.

England’s two-wicket win in Mirpur was their third-highest successful chase on the subcontinent, being their 306 for 5 against Pakistan at Karachi and 276 for 7 against West Indies at Ahmedabad.

Yusuf 100 in 40 balls destroys Maharashtra

Indian All Rounder Yusuf Pathan blasted a 40-ball century as Baroda crushed Maharashtra by seven wickets with 81 balls to spare in a one-sided West Zone Vijay Hazare Trophy match on Tuesday.

Chasing 231 for victory, Baroda rode on Pathan’s blistering 42-ball unbeaten 108 to romp home in the 37th over.

He hit 10 sixes and 8 fours, thus scoring 92 of his 108 runs through boundaries at the Sardar Patel Stadium C Ground.

Once Pathan came out to bat, Maharashtra bowlers simply had no respite. Of the first 20 balls he faced, six sailed over the ropes and the match was over for Maharashtra at that stage.

Score Summary: Maharashtra 230 all out in 48.1 overs; Baroda 234 for 3 in 36.3 overs.
